Counselor Corner

Hello!  My name is Amy Bills, and I am the 8th grade counselor and AVID counselor at Niver Creek Middle School.  This is my sixth year, and I have loved and continue to love every minute of it.  My job as the AVID counselor is to help with recruitment, interviews, classroom activities, chaperone fieldtrips, AVID after school club, and of course, to give the students someone to talk to.

In 2001, I graduated for the University of Colorado at Denver with a double Bachelors Degree in Psychology and Communications.  In 2003, I graduated from the Univeristy of Northern Colorado with a Master's Degree in counseling.  In addition, I recieved most of my K-12 education in District 12.  I attended Hunters Glenn Elementary, Westlake Middle School, and Horizon High School.

On a personal note, I enjoy outdoor activities such as running, biking, and hiking.  I like to travel, but more than anything, I love to spend time with my husband and my two year old son.

I look forward to this year, especially implementing AVID in all three grade levels.  GO AVID!!!!
